How long are reports stored?
Website monitoring reports generated by Website Watcher are stored for 270 days. After this period, they are automatically deleted. There’s no limit to the number of reports you can create, making Watcher a highly effective tool for analyzing changes across multiple competitor websites.
What metadata does Website Watcher collect?
Watcher collects data such as Title, Description, H1, and the HTTP status code of each page. For additional data, enable Content Tracking feature in the tool settings. This allows you to monitor custom site changes, and with regular expressions, you can filter and gather only the information you need.
How often does Website Watcher check pages for changes?
Watcher monitors pages based on your schedule: daily, several times per hour, or weekly. There are no restrictions or limits. You can set up automatic monitoring or launch checks manually. Each project can have its own custom schedule to ensure consistent reporting and updates without limitations.
Does frequent monitoring overload the website?
Our crawler is optimized to minimize server load. We limit the requests to ensure safe scanning and avoid triggering server blocks. If you want more control over the load, you can adjust the requests volume in the tool settings. The safest and slowest option is one request per minute. However, keep in mind that longer timeouts between requests will increase the overall analysis duration.
Can Website Watcher perform a full website audit to detect broken pages?
Watcher is ideal for tracking changes and maintaining website stability. However, for a comprehensive technical audit, we recommend using our Website SEO Audit tool.
