A green circle indicates that the group is enabled and will be included in rank tracking.
What HY, HG, and HM mean in group names
The tool creates a list of groups with collected search suggestions. Every group contains keywords collected from a particular source in the particular location if you haven't ticked Band up all collected keywords within a single group option. A short abbreviation near a group's name points at the keyword source.
- HY — Yandex;
- HG — Google;
- HM — Mail.ru;
- HB — Bing;
- HYb — Youtube.
Search Suggestions Nesting level
The nesting level setting determines which keywords will be used to collect suggestions.
- Level 1: Suggestions are collected only for the keywords you entered;
- Level 2: Suggestions for both your original keywords and the new keywords found at Level 1;
- Level 3: Suggestions for keywords found at both levels 1 and 2 and the original keywords you entered.
The higher the collection level, the longer and more detailed the suggested keywords will be.
For example, suggestions for the keywords "how to wash" could look like this:
- Level 1 → how to wash a cat;
- Level 2 → how to wash a cat at home;
- Level 3 → how to wash a cat at home without going crazy.
Research completed, but there are no keywords in groups. The tool didn’t work?
This can happen for two reasons: the collected keywords already exist in your project (duplicates within the same project are not allowed and won’t be added) or the selected source doesn't have any matching phrases based on the specified researching parameters.
Search suggestions collection methods
The methods [a‑z], [0‑9], [] define what is added after the specified keywords to generate search suggestions. The crawler by turns appends letters, numbers, or a space to the keyword and collects the resulting suggestions.
- "Search Keyword [a‑z]" → Adds English alphabet letters after the keyword:
- wash a cat a;
- wash a cat b;
- wash a cat c.
- "Search keyword [0‑9]" → Adds numbers after the keyword:
- wash a cat 1;
- wash a cat 2;
- wash a cat 3.
- "Search Keyword []" → Adds a space after the keyword.
Use an asterisk (*) to insert one of the collection methods [a‑z] or [0‑9] anywhere in your search keyword. For example: refrigerator * samsung price or refrigerator samsung * price
Why do different methods have different costs for collecting Search Suggestions?
Several factors influence the cost of search suggestion collection, including the depth of collection, the number of search engines and locations involved, and the method used. Each method sends a different number of search phrases to search engines. The more phrases sent, the higher the cost. If you don’t select a method, the default no-space method will be used.
Method | Description | Example of calculating the collection of suggestions for 1 keyword |
a‑z | This method sends a search word for each letter of the alphabet. Since the English alphabet has 26 letters, it results in 26 keywords. | 26 keywords * 0.1 RUB * 1 search engine * 1 location = 2.6 RUB |
[0‑9] | Sends 11 keywords — one for each number (0‑9) plus one without a space. | 11 keywords * 0.1 RUB * 1 search engine * 1 location = 1.1 RUB |
[ ] |
This method sends only 2 keywords — one with a space at the end and one without. |
2 keywords * 0.1 RUB * 1 search engine * 1 location = 0.2 RUB |
Default (no space) | This method sends just 1 keyword. | 1 keyword* 0.1 RUB * 1 search engine * 1 location = 0.1 RUB |
